Presiden LIRA: Jangan Tangguhkan Penahanan Penjahat Tambang

Menado, Topvoxpopuli.com – Ditangkapnya sebagian pelaku pemilik modal dalam pengolahan lahan tambang pegunungan Rumagit lokasi Potolo Desa Tanoyan Selatan Kecamatan Lolayan, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Sulawesi Utara (Sulut) oleh pihak Polres Kota Kotamobagu, pekan lalu, adalah bukti negara dalam hal ini (cq) pihak Polri serius dalam menegakkan hukum tanpa ada padang bulu.
“Kita salut sama polisi. Siapa pun yang terlibat dalam kejahatan pertambangan harus ditangkap; dan yang penting lagi adalah jangan tangguhkan penahahan bagi penjahat tambang,” kata Presiden Lumbung Informasi Rakyat (LIRA), Jusuf Rizal, dalam siaran persnya, Senin (18/5/2020).
Rizal mengatakan, jika polisi telah melakukan oleh tempat kejadian perkara (TKP) sebagai dasar untuk menangkap pelaku, kemudian diperkuat dengan keterangan para saksi, tidak lagi ada alasan untuk memperlambat proses hukum bagi para pelaku.
Rizal menegaskan, LIRA telah mencium aroma adanya mafia tambang di daerah Sulut yang melibatkan oknum pejabat baik itu institusi Polri maupun TNI. “Jika ini dibiarkan maka akan merusak sistim. Untuk itu LIRA meminta polisi jangan main-main dengan kejahatan pertambangan,” tegas Rizal.
Menurut Rizal, ia akan melaporkan kasus kejahatan pertambangan di Sulut tersebut kepada Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi). “Jadi pihak polisi di Sulut harus serius mengusut kasus tersebut,” tegas dia.
Koordinator LIRA Sulut, Efendi Mokodompit, ketika diminta pendapatnya, mengatakan, pihaknya akan mengawal proses hukum bagi para pelaku yang kini telah menjadi tersangka dan ditahan. “Oh, pasti kami kawal. Kami mendukung Polri bekerja profesional,” kata Effendi.
Effendi meminta polisi agar menangkap semua yang terlibat. “Jangan sampai ada yang tersisa. Karena mendapat informasi masih ada pelaku yang belum ditangkap. Namun, kami percaya Polri pasti menangkap semua yang terlibat,” kata dia.
Dikatakan, masih banyak pelaku belum tersentuh dengan tindakan kepolisian. Effendi mengklaim pihaknya telah mengantongi bukti-bukti mengenai
perambahan hutan dalam pengolahan logam mulia (emas) tanpa izin di wilayah Sulut khususnya di Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Bolaang Mongondow Timur, dan Bolaang Mongondow Selatan. “Oleh karena itu, kami mohon agar sesegera mungkin pihak kepolisian melakukan penertiban secara menyeluruh agar tidak memunculkan tanggapan lain dari masyarakat. Pelaku yang sama bebas berkeliaran, kenapa pihak kepolisian tidak menangkapnya ? Masyarakat bertanya demikian,” kata Effendi. [TVP/Sutimin Tubuon/RH]
